How can I help the Palestinian Cause
Summary

Individual
- Make dua – build a daily relation with the Quran
- Tahajjud prayer & begging Allah
- Donate to reliable charities
- Learn about the topic & educate oneself
- Be active online by liking, sharing, commenting, engaging with pro Palestinian content
- Create articles, infographics, videos & other material – share online or with local media / school paper, etc. as much as possible
- Raise awareness – talk to neighbors, colleagues, friends, etc. especially in non Muslim circles (here is a letter you can use)
- Reach out to local political representatives/congressperson – ask for ceasefire
- Write a letter to companies you buy from regularly e.g. grocery & ask them their stance on Palestine (imagine if millions of people write to them) here is an example
- Write to politicians, company CEOs, influencers, etc who support Israel
- Find ways to support local business in Palestine
- Promote Palestinian symbols – wear scarf/badge/brooch with clothing – use stickers/flag on car, laptop, mobile, etc
Community
- Attend peaceful Protests
- Gather & make group dua (e.g. in mosque, homes)
- Targeted boycott of companies supporting Israel (collective billions can make a difference)
- Brainstorm ideas to solve the problem with other activists
- Host or Attend online spaces for discussing current events & providing moral support
- Organise as group to form lobbying efforts to create political influence
- Investigate legal levers which can be pulled in your local country or with ICC
- Host a stand in the city centre to inform bypassers with brochures & material e.g few hours per week
- Find ways to physically support e.g. by volunteering on site during reconstruction
Bonus
- Dispel misinformation: create content (e.g. articles, videos) to counter miss-information e.g. command centre under the hospital, etc
- Encourage brands to support the peace resolution of the conflict as their corporate citizenship e.g. this product helps educate kids in Palestine
- Address the issue of hatred towards Jewish people among some Muslim & non Muslim communities
- Take lead in denouncing whenever something bad happens (if there is clear evidence) in the name of Islam. Be vocal so that the real Islam is recognized
- Self reflection on personal purpose & contribution to the well being of humanity. Detachment from material things & consumerism
- Mobilise muslim/humanitarian/arabian community & find short term civil initiatives. E.g. a 1 month targeted boycott of companies funding violence on the civilian population, Palestine week for education, etc.
Avoid
- Feeling disheartened or sad. Remember we take our actions, the outcome is with Allah
- Blaming Muslim leaders. Everyone is being tested in their capacity as a leader, businessman, employee, etc. Allah’s help may come from the leaders, or it may come from another source. Try to do your part
- Accepting inaction of others similar to your position. Find ways to encourage other people to become more active as well. Absolute silence or inaction during these times is borderline complicity
- Burnout & social media overuse. Best deeds are small & consistent. Take breaks & stay consistent
- Pointing to other problems in the world. Yes we must resolve other issues as well, but Palestine is a very high priority for the Ummah right now. We will look at other problems too إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ

[…] This does not lift the responsibility to do our part which could be making Dua, doing Boycotts, raising awareness, attending peaceful protests, giving charity, etc. See more ideas here on How to Help Palestine […]
