A Poem for Gaza

We love you for the sake of Allah

And the sake of our beloved prophet (ﷺ)

And the blessed Al Quds & Islam our foundation

You are our pride, our cherished, our nation

You’ve awakened our Imaan

You’ve strengthened our conviction

You’ve given us courage

We speak for your affliction

You’ve helped to reveal this world’s delusion

You’ve united the ummah brought out of confusion

Our ears await your laughter

Our thoughts are aimed at you

Our hearts seek your comfort

Our eyes seek your view

Amid wait for brighter days

Our minds craft supporting ways

We bear witness ya Allah

We see your suffering our brave

The lives, the homes, the sacrifices you gave

We bear witness to it all, with attentive gaze

We knock on many doors, someone will embrace

The eyes are teary, the hearts are sunk

The voice is broken, the throats have lumps

From sadness to anger, from fear to hope

We walk together, bound by an invisible rope

We will meet one day, of that I’m sure

In better surroundings, with smiles so pure

They can take it all, but hope is our claim

Truth over falsehood is life’s repeating game

Triumph awaits by Allah’s grace

We are all tested in our own ways

Please hold on, the end is near

It’s almost dawn, victory is here
